Itinerary
Day 1 – 3: Nairobi
On arrival to Nairobi you will be transfered to your hotel in the city center. During the next couple of days you will have time for the excursions tour to the Karen Blixen Museum, the Giraffe Center, the Elephant Orphanage and a guided city tour to the important monuments. The last evening you will enjoy a barbecue dinner at Carnivore Restaurant.

Day 3 – 4: Nairobi – visit to Mathioya – Sagana

Day 4 – 5: Sagana – “Ol’ Pejata Sweetwaters
Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 5: “Ol’ Pejata Sweetwaters” – Lake Nakuru
Depart Sweetwaters after breakfast with a short game drive en route and proceed to the floor of the Rift Valley – making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls which was named after Joseph Thompson, one of the first European explorers who walked from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the 1880’s. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Check in to the hotel to relax, lunch and later drive for the afternoon game drive. Besides the Flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 450 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after an early breakfast proceeding to Maasai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of such features as Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha and Mt Longonot and Suswa, all of which are in the Great Rift. Arrive Mara in time for lunch and followed by an afternoon game drive that introduces you to this vast game reserve.

Day 7: Masai Mara
Full day spent exploring Maasai Mara in search of the “Big Five”. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Camp/Lodge.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffe, Wildebeests, Zebras, Buffalo, Warthogs, Hyenas, Jackals, Wild Dogs, Buffalo, Leopard, many kinds of Antelopes and Elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of Wildebeest and Zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the Savanna Lion, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Jackal, Hyena and Vultures.

Day 9: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast or lunch depart to Nairobi for drop off at the airport for your flight either to Mombasa or back home.
